CAMP PROGRAM INFO: Coach Charli Turner Thorne is the winningest coach in Sun Devil women's basketball history and No. 2 in the Pac-12 in most career wins (400), Charli Turner Thorne is at the helm of an Arizona State program that has made it to the postseason 17 of the last 18 years, including a school record five consecutive NCAA Tournament appearances (2005-09), two Elite Eight appearances and a pair of Sweet 16 finishes. ASU's 12 NCAA Tournament appearances under Turner Thorne are nine more than what ASU had in the 15 years prior to her arrival in Tempe. Has also earned a pair of gold medals with USA Basketball.

CAMP FACILITIES: Cactus Day Camp has two pools, several classrooms, an art studio, a large courtyard and playgrounds and a shaded sport court.

CAMP PROGRAM INFO: Cactus Day Camp provides a full day “traditional” summer program five days a week for 2, 4, 6 or 8 weeks where safety is the priority, friendships are fostered, healthy lifestyles are encouraged and your child's fun is unlimited. Each day is filled with many of our over 20 activities including archery, swimming, gaga, gaming, team sports, gymnastics, crafts, dance, mini golf, model rocketry and more. CAMP FACILITIES: Embry Riddle Aeronautical University has everything needed to operate a soccer training program at the highest level. The campus has a large lighted grass field for training and games. The field has thick grass that is well maintained by the college staff. Adjacent to the field are two sand volleyball courts that can be used for goalkeeper training or just a casual free time game of sand soccer. Lights on the field allow for added time in the evening for scrimmages. Rest room facilities are next to the field. The camp also provides a Certified Athletic Trainer at the field to professionally treat any injuries that may occur.

Campers live in the modern air-conditioned dorm on the college campus and are housed two per room. Each suite has a refrigerator for keeping drinks cold. Each suite of three rooms has its own bathroom and shower facilities. The dorms also have laundry facilities. The new dining hall on campus provides three meals each day prepared by Sodexo Food Services. Plenty of options are available, including vegetarian and gluten free.

CAMP PROGRAM INFO: Embry Riddle Aeronautical University in Prescott, Arizona, has served as the home for the Arizona Soccer Camp since 2007. The site’s 5,400 feet altitude makes it the perfect facility for preseason training. The campus has everything needed to operate a soccer training program at the highest level. Camp consists of a full week of training, games and fun challenges. There are penalty kick competitions, Soccer Olympics, Super Soccer, and the Styro Cup Challenge. At the end of the week, each camper sits down with their coach and receives a full written evaluation to help prepare for the new season.

CAMP FACILITIES: Paradise Valley Christian is a beautiful facility with an awesome gym, field space and shaded lunch area. We transport campers by bus to Melrose Paradise Valley Recreation Club for swimming lessons and free swim.

CAMP PROGRAM INFO: Hubbard Sports Camp, established in 1998, is a co-ed multi-sport summer camp offering one week sessions to campers 4 1/2 to 13 years old. Hubbard offers sports and games to meet the interests and skill levels of our campers in a safe, nurturing, structured environment. Campers enjoy soccer, basketball, volleyball, baseball, archery, swimming and many other indoor and outdoor games and activities. Campers build character, self-esteem, and confidence through daily activities geared towards learning and fun in a caring environment. CAMP FACILITIES: The James 4-H Camp & Outdoor Learning Center holds camping programs April through October. The property includes a swimming and fishing lake, cabins for up to 100 participants, bathhouse, Rec Hall, Dining Hall, and baseball field. The entire property is surrounded by the Prescott National Forest.

CAMP LEADERSHIP CIT/LIT PROGRAMS: Arizona 4-H Youth Development

FAMILY CAMP SESSION(S): Arizona 4-H Family Camp (May 2014)

CAMP FACILITIES: CEDO's field station is located in the Las Conchas housing development, the “Jewel of Sonora”. CEDO’s campus sits atop one of the highest dunes east of the town center of Rocky Point, and is outlined by an elegant sinuous wall and entry gate. The main edifice is constructed in the Spanish architectural style with an open patio courtyard and a wrap around balcony overlooking the Sea of Cortez. There is a boys' room and a girls' room on the balcony level, where the children sleep in their own sleeping bag on sleeping pads provided by CEDO. The facilities have ample bathrooms, a large kitchen and a laboratory.

CAMP PROGRAM INFO: Summer has an adventure in store for you: an adventure in marine biology! CEDO’s Wet Feet Ocean Camp is an overnight summer camp for youth ages 9-12. For five days and four nights children will explore the Upper Gulf of California intertidal zone and surrounding Sonoran Desert. Accommodations will be provided at the CEDO field station in Puerto Peñasco, Sonora, Mexico. The cost is $515, with an optional (additional) $100 island cruise to Isla San Jorge. We ask you to make a $100 reservation deposit as soon as possible for each child attending the camp.

Campers will explore the marine biology of the Upper Gulf of California through both field study and hands-on activities. Uncovering brittle stars, nudibranchs, and octopi in the intertidal zone; dancing for shrimp in the estuary; discovering the secrets of different marine organisms that live in this biologically rich area — these are only a few of the activities in which the campers will participate.

Counselors with experience in marine biology and desert ecology, and trained in First Aid and CPR, will staff the camp. All food and beverages (including purified water) will be provided for campers on site. Campers will have the opportunity to visit downtown Rocky Point (Puerto Peñasco) and should bring some spending money, but will spend the majority of their time in the field, or at CEDO.

FAMILY CAMP SESSION(S): Family members may join the island cruise for an additional cost per person. On the last day of camp, family members are invited to see the campers' presentations, followed by lunch (at an additional nominal cost per family member).

YEAR-ROUND PROGRAMS: A casual visitor to CEDO may enjoy a self-guided tour of our botanical garden, take a close up look at our 55 foot fin whale skeleton, browse the books and treasures in our gift shop and more.

CEDO also offers unique opportunities to explore the sea and desert through our NaturArte ecotours. Go for a hike in North America’s largest "sea of sand", kayak the tidal channels of Morua Estuary, or explore the diverse marine life found in the tidepools of the Northern Gulf of California.

CEDO’s NaturArte program is an award winning conservation project designed to strengthen ties between tourists, local communities and ecosystems, while raising intercultural and environmental awareness. CEDO’s Wet Feet Ocean Camp is a summer camp for youth both from the US and Mexico, is an intercultural camp. The age range this year is younger than past years and is for kids 9 to 12 years old – for exceptions please contact Paloma[AT]cedo.org.

What will my child be doing at Wet Feet Ocean Camp?

Some common activities include: Wading, swimming, snorkeling, boating, hiking, digging on the beach, cooking, singing, playing, meeting new people, interacting with Spanish speakers, learning new facts, thinking about the future, creating, eating, running, learning something new, and much more!

Don’t worry, English-only speakers will be comfortable interacting in this intercultural camp, our bilingual counselors will facilitate the process.

CAMP LEADERSHIP CIT/LIT PROGRAMS: Our Counselor-in-Training (CIT) program is a one-week (7 days, 6 nights) experience for teens ages 15 to 17. This long-running program allows counselors to participate in personal development activities and discussions to give them skills in communication, leadership, greater good, positivity, and inclusion. With these skills, they will be ready to be leaders at camp and in their day-to-day lives. If selected, counselors will be asked to return for the camper weeks to put their skills into action (and earn community service hours).

CAMP PROGRAM INFO: Since 1978, The Learnatory has provided exceptionally robust summer camps as the perfect blend of academic development and recreational fun! The Learnatory Esports & Coding STEAM Camps are for those passionate about video games and excited to code! National Esports Champions teach rising 3rd thru 11th graders proven strategies and provide personal VOD analyses of their gameplay in: Fortnite, Roblox, Minecraft, Rocket League. Coding & Game Design STEAM Summer Camps include: SCRATCH, JavaScript, Python, C# thru Unity.

YEAR-ROUND PROGRAMS: Through The Learnatory In-School, After-School, Home-School, Weekend, Summer Camps, and online programs, The Learnatory, has served over 12,000 college-bound youth and teens in Los Angeles, Chicago, and New York City effectively and significantly boost their academic, personal, and career development. We offer over 50 various STEAM courses and programs. Our virtual program began in the Summer, 2020 and will continue to operate to serve more young people nationwide.

Each camper receives a proprietary PEP (Prescribed Educational Plan) for every class they take that states exactly what skills they will learn and documents at the end how well they learned them.

GEORGIA: Camp Shane Georgia’s campus is located at Emmanuel College in northeast Georgia in the foothills of the Appalachian Mountains. An hour and a half drive from Atlanta, Georgia it's a quiet and safe setting on 200 acres. All facilities air-conditioned and it boasts an indoor 9-lane collegiate size pool, Aquatic Center, 4000 Sq.ft. air-conditioned Fitness Center with state of the art wellness equipment, fabulous new dormitories, quad style with one or two campers sharing a bathroom. Minutes from Georgia state parks, river activities, and Lake Hartwell. It's a wonderful place to experience summer fun while learning about nutrition, healthy cooking and fitness.

TEXAS: Camp Shane Texas is set on a lovely 83-acre, beautifully landscaped and wooded campus with attractive and well kept facilities in gorgeous Texas Hill Country setting. Dormitories are modern with custom furniture, granite bathroom counter tops and polished concrete floors. All sport facilities, dorms and classrooms are air conditioned. There is an outdoor classroom, garden, orchard, chicken coop, and miles of nature trails as well as a state-of-the-art weight room, fitness center, multi-purpose room, two gymnasiums and a new indoor swimming pool. Wholesome and nutritious Shane approved healthy menu prepared on-site. We are not a fat camp nor are we a boot camp. We combine all the fun of traditional summer camp with the benefits of weight loss.

WISCONSIN: Camp Shane Wisconsin is set on 80 acres, located off the shore of Lake Michigan. Dorms are newly constructed, modern and fully air-conditioned. There is an extensive, state of the art, multi-million-dollar fitness center and large grass playing fields to run fun fitness activities outdoors. The property also boasts an Olympic size indoor swimming pool – great for water exercise. CAMP FACILITIES: Get the feel for farm life with the convenience of the being in town. We have a small barn, pastures and petting zoo area for kids to enjoy.

CAMP PROGRAM INFO: Kids will enjoy learning about horses, ponies and other farm animals including rabbits, chickens, pigs and goats. CAMP FACILITIES: Camp Civitan is a 15-acre wheelchair accessible and ADA approved facility which boasts sleeping accomodations for 120 people, industrial kitchen facilities, a large dining hall, a fine arts center, indoor/outdoor recreation halls, outdoor basketball courts, a miniature golf course, a TotTurf� multiplex, a field house, an inflatable obstacle course, a large firepit area, a hay wagon, an outdoor theater and staging area, a greenhouse and playground.

CAMP PROGRAM INFO: Camp Civitan is the Civitan Foundation's longest running and most beloved program, offering week-long camp sessions throughout the summer, and weekend adventures once a month the balance of the year for children and adults with developmental disabilities. This program provides campers with a variety of enriching and fun experiences that promote positive self-esteem, teamwork, socialization, and healthy activities.

Arts & Creative Expression: Arts and crafts, drama and skits, creative movement, music, and other projects spark the campers� creativity.

Physical Activities: Swimming; outdoor activities; games; and adaptive sports and play using our specialized facilities and equipment promote campers� health and build motor skills.

Education: Nutrition classes are integrated into all Civitan programs, and cover topics such as healthy eating habits and trying new foods, understanding the food pyramid, and promotion of a variety of healthy physical activities. Much of this instruction is in conjunction with the Arizona Nutrition Network.

Ongoing Field Trips: Fishing at Kaibab Lake, Bearizona, swimming at Williams Aquatic Center and community events and festivals.

Home on the Range Week: Come to your home away from home, Camp Civitan! This week we will enjoy the best of our camp activities, including a visit to Bearizona to see those deer and antelope play, a hayride, a sing along by the campfire, horseback riding through the range, a wild west BBQ with western entertainment, western leather crafts inspired by local native Americans and western Karaoke. We�ll close out the week with a line dance to the best of country music. Seldom is heard a discouraging word and the sky is not cloudy all day at Camp Civitan!

Wild West Week: Welcome to our ranch on the American frontier, in a dusty little town the locals call Williams. Frontier towns like Williams, situated at the edge of civilization, can be dangerous places. Our particular town is often beset by outlaws. These bandits will roll into town taking gold, money and food before riding back out to the range. The Sheriff needs to deputize a few good men and women to restore order. Join us for a week filled with crackling campfires under the western moon, gold rush days, cowboys and outlaws, the Cowpuncher�s Rodeo, horseback riding and an old-fashioned hoedown barn dance on Sunday.

The 7 Wonders of the World Week: Join us for a whirlwind trip around the world as we travel to each of the 7 Natural Wonders�with a little help from our imaginations! We will begin our trip at Arizona�s own Wonder, the Grand Canyon, as we travel to the canyon and experience the Wonder first hand. Each day we will travel to a new country by experiencing the food, games and music from each new worldly destination. We will visit the Mount Everest, Canada�s Victoria Falls, the Great Barrier Reef, Mexico�s Paricutin Volcano, and many more exciting destinations on our grand adventure. Come experience all the world has to offer during the 7 Wonders of the World week at Camp Civitan.

Wet and Wild Patriotic Week: This week we�ll be splishin� and a-splashin�, movin� and a-groovin� and rockin� and a-rollin� as we celebrate the joy of being American. Being American in July means splashing down a slip-n-slide, barbecues with hot dogs and ice cold coke, and parades down Main Street. In honor of this one-of-a-kind heritage, we will have wild and wet activities each day including water slides, a trip to the Williams aquatic center, water games, and many beautiful and extraordinary outdoor adventures here at Camp Civitan. For the icing on the cake (or the ice cream on the apple pie), our campers will ride on a festive float in the Williams 4th of July Parade. Come discover what makes America Great! Join us for a wild week of water games and patriotic wacky fun. You are sure to find plenty of ways to beat the heat during this very wet, very wild celebration of America!

Hollywood Week: Lights, camera, CAMPING! We�re rolling out the red carpet for you at our Hollywood Gala on Sunday night. Don�t settle for 15 minutes of fame, come to camp for a whole week of stardom! Camp Civitan is proud to present the first annual Camp Civitan Film Festival! Campers will participate in writing, scripting, creating costumes and filming a movie. We will edit the film and have our own movie premier on Saturday night at the big stage in town. We will also perform some live skits at our big red carpet Gala event along with our screening in Williams. Come let your inner star shine! Each camper will come home with a copy of our finished movie to share with family and friends.

Holidaze Week: Welcome to Camp Civitan, where every day is a holiday and every meal is a feast. This week we�ve taken the best days of the entire year and put them into a single week. We'll celebrate Easter with eggtastic activities, Halloween with costumed glory, Thanksgiving feasts and traditions, Christmas inspired games, and end the week with a blowout New Year�s Eve ball. Come celebrate the best of the year�s Holidaze in one week!

Girls Only Diva Week: Girls only week is a great opportunity to spend quality time with other girls and make new, lifelong friends. It is a chance to develop new skills and build self-confidence through exciting and challenging activities that encourage teamwork. Have fun with your new friends, and indulge in all things girly. Come and experience spa day, a chocolate fondue party, Death by Chocolate murder mystery, chick flicks and our PJ fashion show. Come join in on all things feminine and let your inner Diva Shine!

Boys Only Adventure Week: Come strut your inner man and bask in the joy of a girl free zone. You will spend the week learning to fish, becoming an expert at building a campfire, picking up some clubs and learning to golf, and getting your hands on a bow and arrow and learning about archery. Finally, we�ll cap off the week with a visit to Flagstaff to see the Cardinals Training camp. Come experience Camp Civitan�s �man cave� and bond with other men!

CAMP PROGRAM INFO: Coach Cummins and Coach Orona bring a combined 41 years of coaching to Arizona Sports Camp. This includes the four years that Coach Cummins spent with the 2004 Championship San Antonio Spurs. Their leadership and experience ensures each camper has a strong foundation on which to improve their all around game.

CAMP PROGRAM INFO: The experience of a traditional Italian circus alone is an education in history and global culture. Our heart is in camps that teach the circus arts to children. Taught in a real circus tent by working circus artists, our circus camp is a unique experience that is likely never forgotten and likely the budding to an interest in the world’s unknown and possibilities yet realized.
