CAMP FACILITIES: We have a modern dorm and two modern longhouse facilities, as well as two more rustic dorms. We have a large Dining Hall facility, and a brand new Children's Ministry Building (fit for indoor sports and recreation, as well as meeting places). Additionally, the camp has 200 privately owned cottages, three large RV lots, a large soccer field and baseball field, disc golf and mini golf courses, basketball courts, volleyball courts, and a gaga ball pit. There are two tabernacles, the Main Tabernacle and Youth Tabernacle, for services. The Susquehanna River serves as a great place for swimming, kayaking, canoeing, and tubing.

CAMP PROGRAM INFO: Mahaffey Camp offers a variety of programs, from summer youth camps and family camp to year-long retreats and events. Our staff is a dedicated group of people who are passionate about serving campers of all ages and leading them to a vibrant experience with God. Our mission is "to reach others with the Gospel and teach them about the Lord." Mahaffey Camp aims to be "A Christian Center for Spiritual Growth." Mahaffey Camp is a member of the Christian Camp and Conference Association.

CAMP LEADERSHIP CIT/LIT PROGRAMS: Those who wish to be considered as Counselors or Jr. Counselors should contact the camp office promptly, as available positions fill up quickly. Counselors and Jr. Counselors are required to attend a mandatory Counselor Training weekend, held at the end of May or beginning of June. Teen Counselors and Jr. Counselors are expected to attend a youth camp of their own age group.

CAMP SCHOLARSHIPS OR FINANCIAL ASSISTANCE: For scholarship assistance, please contact the camp office. We have a scholarship fund that is used to help sponsor campers who are experiencing financial hardship and need assistance to be able to attend camp.

FAMILY CAMP SESSION(S): Mahaffey Family Camp takes place during the last full week of July every year; in 2018, the dates are July 20 through 29. Events and services are offered for all age groups throughout the 10 days. Special events include a 5k race, Motorcycle Rally, Missionary Rally, Women's Day, Children's Penny Parade, Baptismal Service, and Gospel Concert. The camp store and Dining Hall are open for meals every day, and the craft store (selling merchandise and handmade crafts to benefit camp) is open daily. Dorm Accommodations are available, as well as RV and tent sites. Different types of services are offered, including Adult morning and evening services, prayer and healing services, Teen morning and evening services, Children's ministries, and Fresh Breeze afternoon service.

YEAR-ROUND PROGRAMS: Youth Camps are held in the summer, while many retreats are held throughout the rest of the year. Mahaffey offers a variety of different retreats and events, including Applefest, Quilt Retreats, Scrapbook Retreats, Men's Link, Prayer Retreat, Mother / Daughter Retreat, REPLENISH (youth winter retreat), and private horsemanship lessons. Additionally, facility use at Mahaffey Camp is available for events such as banquets, youth/church retreats, Dorm stay, group stay, conferences, etc. Contact the camp office to book a retreat or event.

CAMP FACILITIES: We offer a shady outdoor arena, picnic areas and clean barns for campers to learn about horses.

CAMP PROGRAM INFO: We focus on building each campers knowledge and love for horses during our 5 day camps.

We offer private riding lessons each day, weather permitting, classroom learning and craft activities. Beginner campers will learn how to groom, tack and safely and properly ride a horse. Intermediate campers will focus on sharpening their skills as an independent rider.

We feature an experienced, educated and dedicated staff of instructors and volunteers.

SUMMER CAMP JOBS:
We are currently looking for counselors for the Summer Camp!

CAMP FACILITIES: Our facilities include a 60' by 120' outdoor arena with sand footing, an 80' by 120' indoor arena with peastone and rubber footing, 15 stall barn with two tack rooms, wash rack with heated water, swimming pool, 2.5 acre pond, 20 large pastures used for rotational grazing, cross country jumps scattered throughout the fields and trails, get-away cabin with full bath and kitchen, sleeps 10.

CAMP PROGRAM INFO: Fairview Farm and Guest Ranch also offers Bits and Bridles Girl's English Riding Camp. This overnight camp features an emphasis on English riding. All ability levels are accepted, and instruction is adapted to each individual rider. Skills taught include: riding on the flat and jumping instruction from intro through intermediate levels, games on horseback and trail riding. In addition to equestrian activities, campers also enjoy activities such as team building, obstacle courses, swimming, fishing and the best food east of the Mississippi.

Equine Adventure Camp Level 1
This week long day camp is a “stand out!” It is theme based, and full of surprises! From “Survivor” to Renaissance” to the “Olympics” to “Down Under Horse Camp”, the campers never know what their counselors have in store for them. Campers enjoy horseback riding lessons, crafts, swimming, games, trail rides and team challenges each day. Instruction is geared to meet the needs of beginner riders. Skills are taught in both disciplines of western and English riding. In addition to fun on horseback, Wednesday night offers an overnight camp out for all campers. The night is packed with special activities which are always a well -kept secret, but always fun and exciting. On Friday, the last day of camp, friends and families are invited to see the campers perform their skills in a horse show.

Equine Adventure Camp Level 2
This day camp offers the same excitement as our Level 1 Camp, however, Level 2 camp is geared to riders of intermediate ability. Campers need to be proficient at all three gaits of walk, trot, and canter, riding with control. Instruction will include both Western and English riding. As with our Level 1 camp, this camp includes many other activities such as swimming, crafts, games, trail rides and daily challenges. The famous overnight camp out on Wednesday is also included in this camp. It is a complete package of fun and learning in an energetic environment!

Rough Riders Girls Western Riding Camp
Challenging! Fun! Exciting! Team Work! It all adds up to a week of this awesome overnight camp. Riders need to be confident at the walk and trot gaits and ready to head to the next level with their riding abilities. If you are between the ages of 13 and 17, and looking for a great time with horses, then this camp is for you! Here is what you can look forward to.

This day camp caters to little people! Campers are those who are not quite ready to join the rigors of our Equine Adventure Camps, but our days are packed with excitement and filled with riding, crafts, swimming and fun, fun, fun! We are all about safety, and provide an experienced helper for each of these little campers.

CAMP FACILITIES: Our 12 cabins and the retreat house, provide lodging for up to 150 people. We also have a beautiful dining hall, game room, outdoor pool, gym, high ropes course, 500 ft. zip line, low elements, 200 ft. waterslide, boating pond, hiking and biking trails, mountain boarding, soccer, basketball, volleyball, baseball, arts and crafts, and archery. Rustic Camping is available. Campfires are held at 3 different amphitheater locations.

CAMP PROGRAM INFO: For almost 50 years the Penn-York Camp Association (PYC) has provided a Natural Place to encounter Christ the whole year long. The vision of supporting the churches and communities of New York and Pennsylvania is accomplished through various ministries. Outreach includes summer kids camps, group retreats, challenge course, outdoor adventure and special events. PYC began with a dream and a committed core and over the years through hard work, determination and many miracles, the Lord has blessed us with an amazing facility.

CAMP SCHOLARSHIPS OR FINANCIAL ASSISTANCE: Penn York Camp offers an automatic campership of $50 or $100 for those who choose to select one. If more finacial aid is required, call the office and speak with the administrator.

SUMMER CAMP JOBS:
We are looking for workers who are excited to share and live the message of the gospel of Jesus Christ with youth and children.  Counselors, maintainance, kitchen, health officer, and challenge course workers are in need. CAMP FACILITIES: Soccer camp will take place on the brand new state-of-the-art turf facility on Cedar Crest College's campus. Campers will also have the opportunity to use the swimming pool in the Rodale Aquatic Center.

CAMP PROGRAM INFO: Under Cedar Crest College Head Coach and former Division I and WPSL soccer player, Sarah Wolcott, and Assistant Coach Sam Busillo, former Division II standout and current WPSL soccer player, players will learn the fundamentals to develop into strong leaders on and off the field. At the Cedar Crest Soccer Camp we will provide our players with a challenging and fun environment. We will spend time focusing on the individual players' technical development and tactical understandings of the game. With a holistic approach to the game of soccer, campers will be given the opportunity to build good soccer habits by developing new skills on and off the ball and establishing a sense of self-confidence. Our goal is to share and pass on our passion for soccer, so players will graduate from camp with new abilities, polished skills, and a fresh excitement for the game.

Our specialty camps are optional programs, operating during regular camp hours, which provide even more choices for unique and exciting adventures. Summer Camp offers fun-filled summer programs for children ages 4-12. CAMP LEADERSHIP CIT/LIT PROGRAMS: Our high school leadership training program is carefully designed to mold campers into the future staff of Camp Orchard Hill! The Core is divided into three distinct, purposeful levels and runs in two-week sessions. Each session is sized to create an intimate family atmosphere for effective team building and Biblical training. Through on and off-site service projects, campers learn to carry on the standards and traditions of COH while creating memories and cultivating friendships that will last a lifetime. CAMP PROGRAM INFO: Located just outside of Philadelphia, West Chester University provides a convenient, top-notch location for camp this summer. Overnight campers reside in the campus dormitories where staff and resident advisors supervise campers overnight. Campers have several options for training, including the track at John A. Farrell Stadium, the wooded trails of the Gordon Natural Preserve, and the rural roads of WCU’s South Campus. In addition to running, camp focuses on supplementary exercises to keep distance runners strong, flexible, and healthy. There is a morning and evening work out that are both 2-2.5 hours. CAMP PROGRAM INFO: Camp Thompson is an ACA accredited camp, a national accreditation from the American Camping Association. This means our staff and camp need to meet certain requirements and standards every year. All staff are CPR\AED, First Aid, and Lifeguard Certfied. We complete 60 hours of staff training; including program areas ( tower, archery, OLS) as well as Darkness 2 Light, Child Abuse and Mandating reporting training. All staff complete 3 background checks, and go through two extensive interviews for hire.

CAMP LEADERSHIP CIT/LIT PROGRAMS: L.I.T. is an exciting and challenging program geared toward building the participants’ leadership skills while still in a supervised and structured environment. During the program participants will develop the following leadership components: time management, leading organized activities, service learning, public speaking and listening. These valuable tools are beneficial in more than the camp community; they will be useful in life as well. Working in small groups, teens will participate in team initiatives, leadership workshops, service projects and all camp activities. As part of the course participants will create, plan and implement a 2- to 3-day back-packing trip for themselves at the end of the their course. This is a 2-week residential program but just like the younger campers, participants go home in between sessions.

The C.I.T. program focuses on leadership, communication, counseling and activity skills necessary to become a counselor. If selected, CITs may request positions lasting from three to six weeks. This is an unpaid, volunteer program. There is no fee for participation. Applications must be submitted and interviews will be conducted.

FAMILY CAMP SESSION(S): Come to Camp Thompson and enjoy a spring weekend with your family. During the weekend, camp staff will provide activities for you and your family, or you can just take time to relax in scenic Pine Grove Furnace State Park in the Michaux State Forest. SUMMER BEGINNER DANCE CAMP - In two action packed weeks of camp, students ages 7 and up who have little or no training in ballet and other dance forms will learn the basics of Ballet, Jazz, Modern and Hip Hop in a fun and creative atmosphere, focusing on basic positions and movements and allowing for creativity. At the end of camp students will perform their new talents for family and friends. The program will be taught by the popular Karina Banks.

PRE-BALLET DANCE CAMP - Dancing Fairy Tales, for ages 4-6, will feature favorite stories from around the world explored dynamically through dance.
This one week dance camp will foster your child's creativity by using creative dance and Ballet as a springboard into exploration and discovery—expressing stories, ideas and dreams that go beyond performing a series of steps. The program will be taught by our pre-ballet teacher Cara King.

SUMMER BALLET INTENSIVE - The Summer Ballet Intensive is for intermediate and advanced ballet students. The program stresses the highly structured Vaganova syllabus and closely resembles the program of study adhered to in the former Soviet Union.
Students should bring a bag lunch and yoga mat.
The program is for students ages 10-22 with at least two years training in ballet.
Taught by various teachers, including Elena Tiuriakulova, Yosbel Delgado, Nancy Malmed, Donald Lunsford, Svetlana Zherdova, Carly McDade, and SPECIAL GUEST from the Donetsk Ballet, Irina Komarenko.

CAMP FACILITIES: We have three spacious studios complete with ballet barres, marley dance floors, sound systems, and air conditioning. We also have a large waiting area.

CAMP PROGRAM INFO: Keep your kids physically active and creatively engaged with Summer Half or Full Day Performing Arts Programs and Intermediate/Advanced Intensives. Week-long programs for ages 4-18 encourage dancers to polish ballet technique while exploring new genres like Theater Dance, Contemporary Dance, Pilates, and Choreography. There is an informal studio showing at the end of each week. Creative Movement classes for ages 2.5-4 are also available.

Creative Movement (2.5-4 years old): This program is designed to cultivate the joy for ballet in our youngest dancers while introducing them to the format of a dance class. The use of music, props, and imagination keeps students engaged while they learn basic ballet vocabulary.

Half Day Performing Arts (4-6 years old): This half day program explores ballet, theater dance, and voice with a structured but developmentally-appropriate approach.

Full Day Performing Arts (6-10 years old): This full day program's curriculum includes a Pilates-based stretch and strengthening class, ballet, theater dance, voice, contemporary, and a student-inspired choreography class. This program is a great way for beginner and intermediate dancers to learn and polish basic technique as well as explore new genres.

Intermediate Intensive (8-13 years old): This program is designed for serious intermediate young dancers. Students train nearly 30 hours per week. They will have Pilates and a two-hour ballet technique class each morning. In addition, they will be introduced to various other genres including contemporary and theater. Students will study ballet terminology and learn and rehearse choreography that will culminate in an in-studio performance at the end of the program. This program is an excellent opportunity for intermediate students to refine their technique and develop strength.

Intermediate/Advanced Intensive (13+ years old): This intensive is designed so intermediate and advanced dancers can really examine and perfect their ballet technique while they also explore their versatility as artists. The curriculum includes a daily Pilates mat class, two-hour ballet technique class, pointe, and specialty subject workshops (such as variations, partnering, contemporary, salsa, choreography, theater dance, and repertoire). Seminar topics have included: nutrition, anatomy, ballet terminology, stage make-up, and dance history. The program will culminate with an in-studio showing of a student-choreographed original piece on the last Friday.

YEAR-ROUND PROGRAMS: In addition to our Summer Performing Arts Programs, The Philadelphia Dance Academy offers dance classes to kids of all ages during the school year. During the summer of 2014 more than 70,000 US and international campers attended a US Sports Camps program. US Sports Camps currently offers 24 programs in 15 different sports.

Our summer sports camps include: Baseball, Basketball, Crew, Field Hockey, Football, Golf, Gymnastics, Lacrosse, Multi-Sport, Rugby, Running, Soccer, Softball, Swim, Tennis, Ultimate, Volleyball, Waterpolo, and Yoga. We also offer several International sports camps around the world. Our sports camps continue to grow thanks to an outstanding community of Camp Directors and the dedication of the entire USSC staff. CAMP FACILITIES: We rent out the Upper School of the Renaissance Academy Charter School. We use the gym, Cafe, 2-4 classrooms, and the grounds outside of the school. We also have access to the nature trail of the Charlestown Park and University of Valley Forge campus.

Our Camp Philosophy: Camp is a special place. Campers grow and learn about themselves, try new things, discover hidden talents and reach out without the fear of negative criticism. Leaders in the field of child development recognize the value of camp in providing the acknowledged needs of today’s children. The camp experience is designed to help children mature socially, emotionally, intellectually, and morally.

Camp is a structured environment where children can live, play, and work with positive role models who listen, talk, relax, and reflect. It is through the fun and challenging activities that campers learn to work together, make choices, take responsibility, develop creative thinking skills, and gain confidence-building independence and self-reliance. All are necessary steps on a child’s path to a healthy and productive day.

Camp Fit & Fun’s goal is to provide children with an exciting, diversified and wholesome camping experience. This is accomplished through a large, flexible program that is structured and well supervised. We believe youth should have a taste of different activities, some of which they will enjoy greatly, while others may be remembered and re-explored when they are older. We feel it is essential to blend wholesome, challenging and cultural programs into the day.

Camp is like a family. Family values are the catalyst or the glue from which the daily life of Camp Fit & Fun is built. We have established rules for safety and respect for all members of the Camp Fit & Fun Community. We help members build an arsenal of tools to aid in working through conflict, commitment, confidence, goal setting, the giving of love and discipline and consistency. Camp Fit & Fun is a family.

CAMP LEADERSHIP CIT/LIT PROGRAMS: Our CIT (Counselors-In-Training) program is offered for 16 & 17 year-olds. This program requires an application and interview. It is designed to introduce young people interested in becoming camp counselors to leadership skill-building, public speaking, program design and child development. This is a 2-week program. Multiple sessions are offered each summer.

CAMP SCHOLARSHIPS OR FINANCIAL ASSISTANCE: At the YMCA, we do not turn anyone away due to an inability to pay. The Y is a non-profit charitable organization that strengthens the foundations of our community. Thanks to donations to the Y's Annual Campaign, we can offer financial assistance to those unable to pay the standard fees.*

Anyone is invited to apply for an income-based YMCA membership or financial assistance. Those receiving income-based memberships are also eligible to receive discounted rates for programming, including camp!

OTHER CAMP INFO: Camp Brandywine, located in Coatesville at the Brandywine YMCA provides campers who have completed kindergarten through 6th grade with a summer they'll never forget. Campers have an opportunity to make friends and participate in a variety of camp activities including arts & crafts, sports, free swim, field games, community service and weekly themed activities.

Camp Brandywine runs for 11 weeks from June 13 through August 26 and registration for camp is done by the week to allow families flexibility to select camp weeks that work for them. Camp runs from 9 AM - 4 PM each day, aftercare is included in the price of camp. Before care is available for a nominal fee. Financial assistance is available for those who qualify. CAMP FACILITIES: Located on a beautiful 114 acre Farm, our programming occurs in our vegetable garden, on our horse trails, and in our wooden barn. Our Camp Site is located in a beautiful wooden canopy, near Little Buffalo State Park, with rustic cabins, a separate bath house, and family style dining hall.

CAMP LEADERSHIP CIT/LIT PROGRAMS: Leadership is the backbone to our program. To us, Leadership looks different for everyone. By building relationships, practicing open and honest communication, and empowered decision making. Our community values self-expression, compassion, cooperative leadership, and living joyfully.

Throughout every aspect of our program, campers and staff develop lifelong friends, indelible memories, and tangible skills. We grow leaders each summer who make lasting impacts on their communities, families, and the world.

Two aspects of our program that specifically are designed for intentional communication, empowered decision making, and relationship building include Crew and Group. Crew is the daily "chores" group that every camper participates in. This is anything from cooking breakfast, to cleaning the stalls and feeding the horses, to taking out the trash and recycling around camp. We do hard work, and then we get to play! Group is our evening program that is defined as "the part of Longacre that makes us unique". This is an intentionally facilitated communication workshop for all of our campers and staff. This is where we use communication tools and skills to better understand ourselves, others, and how we interact with the world.

Longacre Leadership

Longacre Leadership Camp is a residential, co-ed summer camp located in Central Pennsylvania for students aged 8 - 18. We are located on a 114 acre farm 40 minutes north of Harrisburg and will be enjoying our 44th summer this year. Position dates are from June 14th - August 15th 2018.

We hire camp counselors, AKA Big Kids aged 21 and over who are passionate about working with young people and who are committed to building a community. We are looking for staff with a range of skills and expertise including, carpentry, horse riding, arts and crafts, animal husbandry, outdoor education and organic gardening. This position is a blend of farm work and youth work.

CAMP FACILITIES: 24 Boys Cabins and 24 Girls Cabins. All cabins are modern wooden cottages with bathrooms and showers. Heated pool and water slide, full circus program and horseback riding on camp.

CAMP PROGRAM INFO: Individualized program based on each camper's needs and interests. 6 activity periods each day, you choose all of them.

CAMP FACILITIES: We have 3 outdoor riding arenas with jumping courses, access to an outdoor pool, stables with stalls for 45 horses, an arts & crafts room, changing room and a seperate lunch/activity room.

CAMP PROGRAM INFO: The day camp at Ashford Farm in suburban Philadelphia is for children ages 6 to 14 who are interested in learning the correct basics of horsemanship and riding in an atmosphere designed for both safety and fun.

In addition to daily riding and horse care instruction, camp activities include arts and crafts, swimming and outdoor games. The program also features a camp picnic, field trips, a sleepover, a camp horse show and Parents Day.

Our enrollment is limited to 40. Beginner, intermediate and advanced groups are formed according to riding ability.

YEAR-ROUND PROGRAMS: Ashford Farm offers year round riding lessons and a Pony club program in the winters.
