CAMP PROGRAM INFO: The goal of Fundamentals is to provide quality sports education to young children. At Fundamentals, children spend most of the day learning the skills and concepts of a variety of sports and games. However, it is the sports curriculum "off the field" that sets our camp apart from other sports day camps. Informal discussions on sports current events, character building, sportsmanship and choosing role models are held daily. Fundamentals teaches children the values of teamwork and commitment which are the essential elements of success in sports, as well as in life. CAMP PROGRAM INFO: No. 1 Soccer Camps offers a camp for all levels of players.

1) Youth Academy - Designed for boys and girls ages 6-10. Fun, exciting and engaging activities are all part of the week. We do this with individual and small group activities with the introduction of fun technical exercises and games that are engaging and pertinent for the age group and ability level. With our unique curriculum youth players will be exposed to the proper technique such as shooting, dribbling, 1v1, crossing and much more.

2) Junior Academy - Designed for boys & girls, goalkeepers and field players ages 10-13. The program has been designed to build a foundation that will help the participant’s progress to the next level. This will be accomplished in a fun, entertaining and positive environment. Each session will be progressive in nature and will conclude with a relative small-sided game that will highlight the topic of the session. Competitive tournaments will be played throughout the week, and be the highlight of our evening sessions.

3) Senior Academy - Designed for High School players, including incoming freshmen, who are ready to play and be trained at the next level. . Throughout the week, players will be put in a competitive environment that will bring out their very best. Players will be exposed to the four dimensions of training, Physical, Technical, Tactical and Psychological. In our unique evening competitions, players will have the opportunity to compete against other teams, other players and themselves.

4) College Prep Academy - Our goal is to provide an incredible environment where serious soccer players will be exposed to the highest level of instruction in anticipation of playing at the highest level possible. High Performance Seminars will be led by trusted experts in their field and will include: Sports Nutrition, Soccer Specific Conditioning, ACT/SAT Preparation and Sport Psychology. Goalkeepers and field players will be exposed to an intensive training environment for those who are serious about fulfilling their potential.

5) College Showcase Camps - Now available for the serious soccer player at select No.1 Soccer Camp sites throughout the country. The directors of our College ID Showcase Camps are all currently active college coaches. In addition, the College Showcase ID Camps allow you to be seen by, and to work directly with college coaches and their assistants from programs all over the US. The philosophy of the College Showcase ID Camps is to provide you with a more intimate environment from which to experience what College coaches expect from their players.

CAMP LEADERSHIP CIT/LIT PROGRAMS: Lifeguard Training: Spend a week at Camp Hoover learning the basics of water rescue and safety and earning the American Red Cross Lifeguard Training Certification, as well as First Aid and CPR for the Professional Rescuer with AED. Note: All campers participating in this program need to be strong swimmers and demonstrate ability to complete a series of pre-course water tests including a continuous distance swim. Level 1 Archery Instructor: Become a certified Level 1 Archery Instructor! This course provides the necessary tools to maintain safety both on and off the archery range, covering range safety, range setup, the steps of shooting, equipment and repair, programs and lesson plans. Level 1 Instructors are well prepared to teach beginner archery programs in both indoor and outdoor settings. Minimum age requirement is 15. Successful completion of the course (passing both written and practical exams) provides a three year certification. (Ages 15+, Fee $575)

FAMILY CAMP SESSION(S): Family Camp is the perfect time to bring your group to Hoover and enjoy a day or two (or more!) of fun summer activities. The waterfront is fully staffed for you to go swimming, boating or just bathe in the sun. Located on 340 acres in Middleville, New Jersey, there is something for everyone at Camp Hoover! Camp Hoover hires enthusiastic and dedicated adults to provide our summer camp program for girls. All camp staff participate in one week of pre-camp training conducted by trained professionals and many have taken additional training in their specialty areas. Professional & Crazy Fun Staff — Our Educators teach for us all year round. They live and breathe our renowned curriculum, and they’ve been practicing our trademark camp games for years, so they are more than ready to rumble.

Summer Program Director Cora Garner is an American Camp Association Member. She came to us after working at Cornell University, Stanford University, and most recently the University of California, Berkeley. Through her work in Higher Education, she has developed and taught courses that focus on identity and community development.

At Girls Leadership we want you to be true-to-you. Every day starts with community games. Our theatre-based workshops focus on developing personal and societal leadership, such as how to ask for what you need. In these sessions girls practice new tools for speaking up for themselves and for others.

We also create beautiful art projects, stay active outside, and always have a spirit theme for the day. These activities are designed to encourage girls to embrace who they are, reflect on what they believe, and give them an opportunity to express themselves creatively.

CAMP FACILITIES: With our beautiful lake as the centerpiece, we have various villages of cabins, plus great program lodges, a big dining hall, sports courts and fields, fire rings, 2 waterfronts, and beautiful trails connecting it all together.

CAMP PROGRAM INFO: Fairview Lake is comprised of five camp types - Traditional Camp, Ranch Camp, ETC, our adventure program, Specialty Camp, and Counselor in Training. We offer coed, boys, and girls programs. Camp sessions are between 1 and 6 weeks long. Our programs were established in 1915, and we have a long history of running safe, kid-focused camps. Our staff comes from all over the country and globe are thoroughly vetted before they are hired, and participate in extensive training before camp starts.

FAMILY CAMP SESSION(S): Throughout the year, Fairview Lake offers many family weekends, adult programs, and group opportunities. We are a year-round facility, and we are Northern NJ's largest outdoor education center!

Fairview Lake YMCA Camps is hiring! We have positions available starting as early as MARCH 2022. Our year-round program instructor works with visiting groups, schools, conferences, and families in a variety of program areas. Training is provided. SUMMER CAMP JOBS:
Pool Staff: *The Head Lifeguard is required to be 22+. Lifeguards are required to be post high school. *Certifications: Red Cross Lifeguard Training, CPR/AED, WSI a plus. *Have a minimum of: two years experience consisting cumulatively of at least 16 weeks as a children’s camp lifeguard.

Pool staff are required to have strong communication and leadership skills, strong risk management and safety awareness, and a thorough knowledge and application of lifeguard surveillance and rescue techniques.

All pool staff are responsible for guarding their area of responsibility, responding to any level of incident around the entire facility, enforcing our rules fairly and politely, checking and maintaining pool chemicals (head guard), ensuring member safety, being patient and enthusiastic while teaching and holding productive lessons, setting up and cleaning up lesson station,and other tasks assigned by the Director and Head Lifeguard.

CAMP PROGRAM INFO: Youth should plan to be online 11:00 a.m. to 2:00 p.m. weekdays, and to work ten additional hours per week on their projects. Most of the scheduled time is for projects but some of it will be for meetings.

Required equipment: A tablet or phone with a front-facing camera. A video camera or DSLR camera will also work.

CAMP PROGRAM INFO: May 13, 2014 - Match Fit Academy FC and Montclair United Soccer Clubhave announced a second phase to their successful strategic alliance and the creation of Match Fit Montclair United.

The goal is to build upon the success of the current partnership by elevating select Montclair United teams to compete under the newly formed Match Fit Montclair United brand.

Montclair United has a track record of assembling and developing teams for all abilities from U8-U14 both boys and girls. With the introduction of Match Fit Montclair United, players will compete regionally in high-level leagues and tournaments, providing for a seamless pathway to the USSF Development Academy and Elite Clubs National League at U14 and beyond.

Elite coaches that include international athletes from the FIFA & Olympic competition levels.

CAMP FACILITIES: Our facility includes large playgrounds for ages 3-10, indoor and outdoor basketball, outdoor nature center, picnic grove, and field space.
