CAMP FACILITIES: We have three facilites within a 2 mile raduis that host our summer camps. A cultural center that offers a technically advanced 316-seat theater, multiple gallery spaces, a dance studio as well an art studio for a variety of classes and a community room. A museum that has over 10 historic structures, 30,000 artifacts, a festival area and an outdoor amphitheater. CAMP SCHOLARSHIPS OR FINANCIAL ASSISTANCE: Our Campership program strives to enable as many children as possible to have a KSS Camp experience by providing assistance to families with demonstrated financial need. In 2019 KSS provided over $24,000 in funding to 41 campers. We have dedicated volunteers known as our campership committee who read all applications and make decisions on the behalf of Keystone Science School. Financial aid is not guaranteed. CAMP PROGRAM INFO: Our program is designed to be faith centered while providing excellent leadership development for our campers. Campers are involved in the leadership of each day, they plan their own schedules, and help design and lead worship under the guidance of their counselor. Our staff is one of the main reasons campers keep coming back to Rainbow Trail. They are genuinely interested in each camper and will be great role models for our kids. We are an American Camp Association accredited camp which means we meet the highest standards of the industry. Girls' Empowerment Camp Schedule:

Monday: Touching in and Grounding

On the first day of camp we will be exploring how to care for the horses and how to care for ourselves. We will be doing grooming and art-work activities to explore and reflect on this important topic. In the afternoon we will work with the herd of horses and we will learn how to calm ourselves and how to safely be in relationship with the horses and each other.

Tuesday: Leadership and Embodiment

On this day we will be exploring leadership and what it means to be a leader. We will discuss personal power, body language and communication. We will spend the day working with these topics and learning to lead the horses in a safe and productive way.

Wednesday: Honesty and Conflict

On the third day of camp we will be exploring honesty and conflict. We will spend time educating the girl’s about their brain’s and their body’s reactions to fear and conflict, in an effort to teach them how to work with difficult emotions in a positive way. We will be “joining” with the horses on this day. This activity is all about honesty, connection and relationship.

Thursday: Feeling Powerful

On this day we will be working on the skills we have built so far and we will be increasing our horsemanship skills in preparation for riding on Day 5. In order to feel powerful we need to be able to calm ourselves, be a leader, and communicate honestly. We will use all of these skills in an activity with the horses, concentrating on communication, trust and self-worth.

Friday: Intimacy and Trust

The last day! On this day we will be riding all day long. We will be bringing in all of the tools we have built since Day 1 and we will be celebrating all we have learned and done in the 5 days.

OTHER CAMP INFO: WHAT IS EQUINE THERAPY?
Equine Therapy believes that the use of horses in therapy fosters personal growth and exploration. It can involve riding, lunging, leading, feeding, grooming and herd work dependent on each individual’s needs and desires. It occurs mostly outside in a field or a stall with horses. It has been known to assist many different people with a variety of needs and hopes in therapy.

WHY EQUINE THERAPY?
The horse is an intuitive creature known for its ability to connect with humans and maintain its wild and primal nature. The connection with the horse fosters increased self-esteem and confidence
Working with horses teaches the importance of appropriate boundaries. It increases an individual’s ability to express their needs and emotions clearly. Riding horses increases trunk control, fine motor control and balance. Equine Therapy creates real-life situations in which individuals must learn to develop and integrate life-skills.

CAMP PROGRAM INFO: Camp Shai offers a full-day, traditional day-camp experience for campers entering Kindergarten – 10th grade. Activities at Camp Shai are designed to challenge campers and help them grow in a safe, supportive environment. Each day at camp offers countless opportunities to make friends and memories while having a BLAST!

What is camp without swimming?!? All Camp Shai campers have free swim 3 – 4 times throughout the week. In addition, pre-K - 3rd grade have swimming lessons twice a week with our JCC Swim Safe Academy. During their time in the water, campers will learn proper water safety and swimming skills, including the four competitive strokes using stroke progression and repetition.

For your sporty camper, or campers who want to learn more about a particular sport, there is no better place than Shai Sports. Monday through Thursday, campers receive 2 hours of specialized instruction from vendors such as Snow Valley Basketball, HERO Sports, and our very own JCC Tennis Center. In addition to the professional vendors, Campers will also be supported by Shai Sports counselors. All campers will have the opportunity to practice new skills and master old ones. To accommodate age-appropriate skill development, Shai Sports is offering two age groups: Kindergarten – 1st Graders and 2 – 6th Graders.

CAMP LEADERSHIP CIT/LIT PROGRAMS: The CIT Program is geared toward rising 9th and 10th graders who will gain hands-on professional experience in the camp environment… AND have a blast while they’re doing it! CITs will experience what it is like to be a counselor and practice their skills in camper care, leadership, and group management.

YEAR-ROUND PROGRAMS: Excellent! Drop off your camper at the JCC for a day of fun, Camp Shai style! Together we will either go on a field trip or participate in a special on-site program. In addition, we make art projects, play games, go swimming (make sure to pack a suit!), and more! Each day, we will begin with a camp-style morning circle and icebreakers to get everyone engaged before we start our day of adventure. Make sure to please send your camper with a dairy lunch – we’ll provide healthy snacks. Each day of Camp Shai School’s Out is from 9:00 am – 4:00 pm with options for Sunrise Care (8:00 – 9:00 am) and Sunset Care (4:00 – 6:00 pm).

CAMP FACILITIES: The youngest campers live in a lodge while older campers live in rustic camper cabins. Teen campers may stay in teepees or platform tents. Everyone eats in the camp dining hall. There is an indoor swimming pool & a small reservoir for canoeing & fishing, low ropes course & high ropes course complete with a zipline. Other facilities include outdoor rifle range, archery range, gaga ball pit, climbing wall, horse barn and more.

CAMP PROGRAM INFO: Our camper-to-counselor ratio ensures that your child will receive personal attention in a family-style cabin environment. Camp Chief Ouray conducts an intensive multi-part interview process for counselors. This includes multiple criminal, professional and personal background checks on each applicant to ensure we have the best possible staff working with your child.

As Colorado's longest running summer camp, we have more than 100 years of tradition and experience that will ensure your child has a positive camp experience. Our programming offers a wide variety of activities and our "Freedom of Choice" programming allows each camper to create their schedule. Our Leadership Training Programs for teens are among the best in the country. With 5100 acres of mountains, streams, meadows and trails we really are nature's playground and a great place for your child to learn all that the outdoors have to offer.

CAMP LEADERSHIP CIT/LIT PROGRAMS: LIT is the first step in the program, and it is for students who have completed the 9th grade, but have not yet turned 18. During two weeks at camp, each group of LIT's will venture out on a 4-day/3-night backpacking trip, participate in activities around camp, live in a tipi village, complete a service project, and work with our day-camp program.

The SIT Program provides campers who have completed the 10th grade (but are not yet 18) with an incredible opportunity for skill development in an outdoor setting. The participants will embark on a 5 day/4 night backpacking trip in the Rocky Mountains, a 4 day/3 night rafting trip on the Upper Colorado River, and mountain biking adventures in Fraser, CO while gaining valuable skills and instruction. Like the LITs, SITs live in the Tipi Village while they are at camp. Participants will complete 1-2 service projects around camp or in the community.

The CIT program is for participants who have completed the 11th grade and are genuinely interested in acquiring the skills necessary to be a camp counselor. The group will participate in a 4 day/3 night backpacking trip in Rocky Mountain National Park, a one day raft trip on the upper Colorado River, a CPR/First Aid certification course, a Leave No Trace certification course, and a week long training program similar to our staff training. The final two weeks are spent observing and assisting in the leadership of regular camp programs.

Since 1991 World Cup Soccer Camps & Clinics has set the standard of excellence for youth soccer camps, classes and personal soccer training. CAMP FACILITIES: Cherryvale Day Camp has an amazing facility. The Boulder JCC has a full gymnasium, an array of classroom options, art studio, group fitness room, and theater/event space. CAMP FACILITIES: The spacious "campus" includes a large indoor arena, indoor gymnastics workout area, lounge; outdoor arenas and open space include a regulation size dressage arena, barrel race arena, huge jumping arena, and a cross country course.

FAMILY CAMP SESSION(S): Family horsemanship classes are designed for those who are purchasing a horse for one or several family members, or simply want to support the family member who rides, through an increased understanding and appreciation of horsemanship. Care and handling of horses is the main focus.

Suzanne Himka, RD, CSCS iis a Registered Dietitian and Certified Strength and Condititoning Specialist who has over 25 years of coaching gymnastics experience as well as collegiate experience. She currently teaches PE, fitness & Nutrition for The University School and owner of Fit for a King. She has competed and won on the popular television show, "American Gladiators" and wanted to offer a camp based on these popular television shows knowing what is required to try out and make it.

Frances Chacon is a Certified Level One Track Coach as well as a ISSA Certified personal trainer who specialize in speed, agility, balance and explosiveness training with young athletes. She has over 30 years of coaching experience with young athletes.

The Rocky Mountain Soccer Camp (RMSC) is the longest running soccer camp in the nation, started in 1971 by Artie Wachter. Various camp programs include Mini-Camps, Day Camps, Team Camps and Live-in Camps.

The RMSC experience goes far beyond the soccer field. We use the camp as a vehicle for teaching valuable "life lessons" such as integrity, sportsmanship, discipline and responsibility, while at the same time providing a high level of soccer training and education.

CAMP FACILITIES: All trips begin at a designated airport. Students explore the most scenic and beautiful places in a particular region, and travel between activity sites in brand-new, 15-passenger vans. We spend each night in a tent, and students learn how to cook in the backcountry—with plenty of guidance from our instructors! They go backpacking, camping, whitewater rafting, rock climbing, whitewater kayaking, ziplining, ice climbing, canoeing, sea kayaking, inflatable kayaking, mountaineering, and mountain biking.

- All college graduates
- At minimum, all are medically trained as wilderness first responders. However, many more have additional certifications.
- Significant experience working with teenagers in the outdoors

CAMP FACILITIES: We have a 6,000 square foot indoor training facility and 1,000 square foot outdoor rig and turf. Our obstacles are full scale ninja training obstacles, along with strength training equipment and parkour equipment.

CAMP PROGRAM INFO: In addition to our numerous proprietary obstacles, campers will learn the classics such as the warped wall, salmon ladder, cliff hanger, quad steps, wing nuts, and more!

Camp curriculum covers all aspects of becoming a ninja, including: balance, body awareness, agility, swings & catches, grip, strength, power and more. We also cover topics such as training safety, falling appropriately, and the mental skills of facing fears, creating discipline and meeting new challenges with confidence.

Warrior Playground has provided children’s ninja and movement programming to the Longmont area for the last 8-years.

Our youth-curriculum was developed by American Ninja Warrior athlete and facility owner, Sam Banola, who has 30+ years of experience in the fitness industry. Sam is well-known for his unique, effective and uber-fun methods of teaching ninja skills to kids, and his ingenious, one-of-a-kind obstacle-designs.

Our staff are highly trained athletes and coaches, most of whom have competed on American Ninja Warrior and/or other national ninja and obstacle competitions. Safety is our number-one priority, and in addition to their coaching expertise, our staff are rigorously trained in injury-prevention and youth activity management and safety.

CAMP FACILITIES: We have accommodations ranging from indoor heated lodges, seasonal cabins, platform tents, teepees, hammocks, and more. All our accommodations have access to toilets and showers. We have an activity center with a dance and art room. CAMP FACILITIES: We have 6 girls and 6 boys cabins, large log dining hall, rec hall, outdoor heated pool, gymnasium with theatre stage, private stream fed lake for canoeing and fishing, ropes course, large athletic field, tennis courts, archery range, rifle range, gazebo, and horse barn and corral. We are surrounded by Pike National Forest which we use for hiking and horseback riding.

CAMP PROGRAM INFO: We have a great outdoor program which includes mountain climbing and rappelling as well as a ropes course with a zip line! We are located in the Pike National Forest which we use for hiking and horseback riding. Our counselors are trained in "Leave No Trace" ethics and are always aware of our duty to respect and educate about the natural environment.

We offer a wide range of activities for the campers to choose from and they do so on a weekly basis. Each child's schedule is led by that child's interest. We also have field trips to places of nearby scenic and historic interest as well as exciting evening and weekend activities.

CAMP LEADERSHIP CIT/LIT PROGRAMS: We have a leadership program which we provide for our Counselors In Training who have been to camp before and are at least 16 years of age. It is lead by Director David Graf who is a teacher in the Woodland Park School District and who currently is the Student Council advisor. Elements of the program include overview of the staff manual and staff orientation materials as well as low and high ropes activities.

CAMP PROGRAM INFO: Let self-esteem take center stage this summer! At Camp RYB, your camper will learn acting, play writing & directing skills, with a special emphasis placed on developing a positive sense of self and body image.

There will be a mixture of theatre technique classes and empowerment workshops aimed at teaching campers a new more positive way of thinking about themselves and about beauty. Through fun and engaging activities, we help your child to build their self-esteem, while they develop new friendships!
