CAMP FACILITIES: Our facility is a 2,100 sq. feet quality, modern martial arts training center. The floors are padded matting. We have separate men's and women's restrooms and locker rooms available. OTHER CAMP INFO: The Stephen J Wampler Foundation incorporated in October 2001, becoming a fully recognized tax-exempt non-profit 501(c) 3 organization in March of 2002 (Tax ID number #80-0470847). Our outdoor programs started in August of 2004 when we welcomed our first 24 campers. The organization has grown over the past 17 years, and we have sponsored 1250 children.

Camp Wamp, located near North Lake Tahoe in the High Sierras, is a place where kids with physical challenges have the week of their life in the great outdoors. What Can you Expect?
A typical day consists of breakfast, a morning workout, rest, lunch and speeches from the coaches followed by an afternoon workout and a group activity. You will learn visualization techniques, team-building skills and ways to maximize your performance through appropriate nutrition. 24-hour supervision is an important feature of every Nike Running Camp. CAMP FACILITIES: At Natoma, we sleep under the stars on cots. We also have a swimming pool with water slide, archery and hatchet ranges, dining hall, fire ring, miles of trails, drama platform, and a perennial creek.

CAMP PROGRAM INFO: Camp Natoma has been providing a week of sleeping under the stars, an experience campers will remember for a lifetime, since 1941. It is operated by Friends of Camp Natoma, a non-profit organization, and is an American Camping Association (ACA) Accredited Camp. At Natoma, campers gain self-confidence, become positive team players, expand their imagination, and develop a relationship with the natural world around them. All staff are dual background-checked, first-aid and CPR certified, and hand-picked for their positive work experience in youth development.

Sergei Beloglasov is considered by many to be one of the best wrestlers and technicians of all time! Competing for the Soviet Union, Beloglazov dominated the 57 kg division during the 1980's. He won Olympic gold medals at the 1980 Olympic Games in Moscow and the 1988 Olympic Games in Barcelona & also claimed six World Championship gold medals (1981, 1982, 1983, 1985, 1986, 1987). His amazing gold-medal winning streak was only interrupted in 1984, when the Soviet Union boycotted the Los Angeles Olympic Games.

Recognized by his peers to be one of the best minds in the sport, Sergei is former National Coach for both USA Wrestling and Russia, two of the perennial powerhouses on the International Wrestling scene. Beloglasov is considered one of the best clinicians in the world, and for four years was the Head F.I.L.A. instructor for their International Wrestling Seminar held in Rome.

Rico Chiapparelli
Founder of R1 Training Center and a former amateur wrestling champion. Rico has won every U.S. National Championships from Schoolboy thru Open divisions in Freestyle. He is a three time NCAA All-American & Big 10 Champion from the University of Iowa. An NCAA Champion, Chiapparelli also went on to become a U.S. National Team member & World Cup Champion.

CAMP PROGRAM INFO: We host camps with a 10-1 ratio. Make Me A Pro's philosophy is "To Play like a Pro, Learn from a Pro". Does this mean we only teach advanced players? No, not at all! CAMP FACILITIES: River Way Ranch Camp operates as a resort 9 months out of the year when camp is not in session. Campers stay in air-conditioned cabins, and sleep 8 to a room, with two counselors. Cabins are complete with a private bathroom and shower, closest and sink area. River Way Ranch Camp is a beautiful facility, complete with stables, basketball and tennis courts, three pools, an on-site lake, and a high and low ropes course facility.

CAMP PROGRAM INFO: River Way campers are divided into divisions. The Buckaroos (ages 7-9) have two counselors with each cabin group at all times. They receive a challenging diversified schedule, teaching them many new skills. Beginning at age 10, Rancheros and Seniors have free choices of activity. Transportation is available by charter bus from Southern and Northern California, as well as airport transportation from Fresno International Airport (FAT).

CAMP FACILITIES: Campers live with their counselors in one of several villages grouped by age and gender. Our facilities also include multiple indoor and outdoor program spaces (including a 700-person Amphitheater), a sustainable farm, a vineyard, four outdoor plazas, athletic facilities and fields, an alpine climbing tower, a low ropes course and a 400-feet zip line, overnight space, hiking trails, multiple arts facilities - and a pool and waterslide.

CAMP PROGRAM INFO: At URJ Camp Newman, we’re building a foundation for a vibrant and joyful Jewish life. Rooted in Jewish values and guided by our experienced staff, we offer fun, immersive summer sessions that give your child the opportunity to develop community, teamwork, self-esteem, and individual skill.

Activities include athletics, outdoor adventure sports, music, art, dance, leadership training, and social action. Campers celebrate their best selves, form lifelong friendships, and find a community where they belong.

There are so many amazing things to do: Conquering the Alpine Tower as a team. Seeing the final point scored in Ultimate Frisbee. Dancing together on Shabbat. Singing arm-in-arm every night before bed. Hiking to the Star that overlooks camp. Making more friends in a week than they could all year.

We believe that these transformative experiences inspire kids to bring camp home to their daily lives, applying what they learn here to better themselves, their communities and the world.

Avodah
11th Grade

Avodah is a multifaceted, service-based program in which campers play an integral role in camp’s day-to-day operations. Avodahniks develop a strong work ethic and serve as Jewish role models at camp. Beyond daily activities, campers work diligently on a significant camp improvement project and march as a team in both the annual Pride Parade and AIDS Walk in San Francisco.

Counselor in Training (CIT)
12th Grade

Our highly-selective and popular CIT program trains our future staff and camp leadership, offering young adults a valuable personal and professional growth opportunity. Leadership workshops and Judaic programs are combined with practical hands-on training with children of all ages.

CAMP PROGRAM INFO: "The Premier Soccer Training System" - implements our step by step process of physical technique DEMONSTRATIONS, You then IMITATE these demonstrated skills/techniques in training, we then give you the opportunity to EXECUTE these skills in competition with our continued expert guidance and coaching. "The PSTS" is offered at all our Soccer Camps in California, Massachusetts, New Jersey, New York, Florida, Maryland, Pennsylvania, and Washington.

CAMP FACILITIES: Our expansive facility houses 40 cabins, each with built-in bunks, full bathrooms, shower facilities and radiant floor heating. Brand new dining hall and kitchen. SUMMER CAMP JOBS:
CAMP COUNSELOR JOB DESCRIPTION

Brief Description: Camp counselors at Pali Adventures are responsible for the physical and emotional well-being of campers. They supervise campers in a cabin setting, at mealtimes, and during activities. Counselors are in charge of facilitating activities throughout the day. Counselors work as a team to ensure all campers have a fun and memorable experience at camp. Counselors report directly to their Specialty Director and Group Leader.

QUALIFICATIONS

 Exhibit characteristics of responsibility, dependability, leadership, patience, punctuality, hard work, sense of humor, self-control, integrity, common sense, good judgment and a positive enthusiastic attitude.
 Complete the staff application and interview process.
 Attend staff training (May 30 – June 12) and all in-service trainings.
 Must have completed high school and be a minimum 18 years of age or older as of 5/30/20.
 Desire and ability to work with children.
 Other duties as assigned

Staff members are entrusted with the care and safety of young children in a rustic setting replete with natural and man-made dangers. All staff members must have the ability to respond immediately to an emergency. Any staff member with a disability that may affect the Staff Member’s ability to physically perform these requirements should immediately inform the Human Resources Department to determine possible reasonable accommodations.

JOB REQUIREMENTS

ESSENTIAL FUNCTIONS/DUTIES

• Serve the campers as a positive role model.
• Camp staff members will actively supervise campers both in assigned cabin groups (typically 10 campers and 2 counselors) and at assigned specialty, elective, evening and weekend activity programs.
• All campers should feel comfortable, safe and included.
• Learn the likes and dislikes of each camper in your care by showing genuine interest.
• Recognize and respond to the opportunities for problem solving in the group.
• The counselor is responsible for the health, safety and welfare of each camper within their cabin group and with whom they come into contact. E.g. drinking water, daily showers, teeth brushing, active supervision during rest/ down time, application of sunscreen and lip balm, appropriate attire for the activity they will be attending, etc.

• Provide opportunities for each individual to experience success during camp.
• The staff member must never leave campers unsupervised.

• Develop opportunities for positive interaction between campers and staff.
• Provide opportunities for each individual to experience success during camp.
• Carry out established roles in enforcing camp safety regulations.
• Know where your campers are at all times.
• The staff member must never leave campers unsupervised.

Other Job functions
 On a rotating basis, all staff members will be scheduled to assist with the serving of meals
 The staff member may be required to transport campers in camp vehicles in a safe acceptable manner, obeying all posted safety regulations.
 The staff member is expected to assist in the development, implementation and supervision of assigned specialties and all other program areas. This includes the correct set up and pack down of equipment.
